R404 gas is composed of 44% (R125 gas), 4% (R134A gas) and 52% (R143A gas). This gas was designed to replace older refrigerants that were more harmful to the environment. R404A gas is suitable for medium and low temperature systems. The properties and thermodynamic characteristics of R404A refrigerant make it very suitable for use in commercial and industrial applications. R404A gas cylinders are usually sold in orange.
